Holding my breath isn't working. I've heard of some weird drink upside down trick but I don't know how to do it.
What else? You know you have some weird mama tale about vinegar or something.

This one has been around for a long time, but I could never figure how it would work. If you ask someone to scare you, wouldn't you be expecting it and not get scared?

Ha! I know that the scare thing works, but it's difficult to ask for, and frankly, I HATE it.

I have two.
Method one: Slowly sip a drink of water and control your inhale/exhale. To clear my mind i use the mantra "just breathe" on the inhale and "concentrate" on the exhale. Dunno why but clearing my mind seems to help.
Method two: Lay on your back on a solid surface and try to clear your mind. Take steady, deep breaths until hiccups die away. Also helps control the more painful, body-lurching hiccups0 -

Holding your breath works, but you must hold it after exhaling the air out of your lungs. Most people inhale hard and then hold their breath (doesn't work as well)0

Plug your ears and nose, and at the same time drink water0

How long has Mary Poppins been your client?
Ever since she jumped into that street drawing and go sucked into my cartoon world.0 -
Usually if I just breathe slowly in and out a few times my hiccups go away. I breathe in through my mouth for like the count of 5 and then out through my nose.0
