So, we have an ice cream truck that frequents our downtown area. They have amazing ice cream sandwiches and do a special each day. I plan on having one of their “Salty Dogs” tonight. The picture shows a full order, but I plan on having a half.

Contents
1/2 snickerdoodle cookie (cookies are about 4 inch diameter)
Salted caramel ice cream
Caramel sauce shell
Mini pretzels

I’ll have 800ish calories to spare on it if I have a lighter dinner and still keep my regular deficit, but I don’t mind cutting into my deficit if needed, as I know this will be a worth it treat. I just want to see what everyone estimates it so I can come up with a good enough entry for my log. (They don’t have nutritional info posted. I’m sure I could ask, but the line is almost always super long on Fridays.)

That looks amazing! I had a similar ice cream sandwich yesterday and half of it I estimated at 300 calories.

I eat a similar cookie that's made locally. It's two big chocolate chip cookies with vanilla ice cream and is 600 calories for the whole thing. I think 800 calories would be a good estimate with the extra caramel and pretzel pieces. So 400 for half would be my guess.

Half of that is still 1 full cookie, so I'd go at least 400 cals

I found out they use blue belle ice cream! I pieced it together and came up with about 750 calories. Perhaps it was less, but it seemed like a LOT of ice cream. Plus that caramel shell stuff is way caloric when I looked it up. Two tbs is like 220 calories! There was at least that much on it.

But totally worth it! One of my favorite creations of theirs in some time. My husband brought home a cup of their salted caramel and put it on some apple pie he got from our pie store. He was pretty pleased.
