I've been checking in every day since the first week of January...lost 38 pounds as of late May...and now have hit a comfortable wall. Ok, I enjoy Beer and wine....but I still am staying very close to the limits and when I go over I work a little harder...hey, Summer only lasts 3 months here in Buffalo and we are outside at concerts and get togethers while the sun is still in the sky.....I've kept it around even for the last couple months, we bicycle and walk the 18 holes twice a week...and have mostly attempted to stick with Corona Lights and Busch light....with a smattering of red wines ...but I only drink on days that end in "Y"....Hey, I'm not going up. I post every drop or bite...Ive been over my 1700 goal by up to 3500...but still got back for my weekly totals. Life is short...I got control of this thanks to MFP.....and I expect my goal to be reached easily by the time I put on the stripes for wrestling season. :drinker: Thoughts?

I love this story! When summer hit I also chose to enjoy it. I am from Edmonton so I can appreciate a short summer! But I abandoned MFP which was a big mistake. I added an extra 8 pounds (can't say I really regret it!) Your idea is great. Next time I take a break from reaching my weight loss goal I will definitely at least still use MFP - that way things won't get out of control!
Hope you're having an amazing summer! Have an extra beer for me!0 -
You've definitely got to live a little with this process, and moderation is definitely key! This MFP thing is more about a lifestyle change than a hardcore "you must do this all the time!" type thing, and you're definitely finding the balance enjoy your summer!!0

My thoughts are similar. Going into summer is a different lifestyle for a SAHM. Kid's home everything's changed including my priorities. I feel lucky to have maintained my loss and the success I had before summer bodes well for doing great come fall.0
