Ive been working at it since the last of April. I started a weight loss clinic getting adipex and the lipo b-12 combo shots and I've lost 15 lbs but it's getting to expensive but I'm afraid I can't do it without it. I work nights and I tend to eat to stay awake, I eat when bored, when mad, and when I'm upset. I dont know where to go from here.

You have to stop eating to soothe emotions, and start eating for nutrition and pleasure. You need to get enough sleep, too. Planning nutritionally appropriate meals you want to eat, and setting appropriate bed times, sounds like the obvious steps forward, but you may have other, better ideas, so think it through and do something you can do.

You mean nights tike 11 pm - 7 am or something like that? It’s tough.

But the process is the same. Eat at a deficit. Monitor yourself with a food diary. Always keep the diary no matter what.

If you need to fiddle around with something to get through work, drink tea. Become a tea connoisseur. No calories and as complex as you care to make it.

Oh, and I think I got this reading the Mayo Clinic website- working though discouragement is a big part of successful weight loss. You are not alone in this. Keep going.

15 pounds since the end of April is excellent! Congratulations.

It's a long game, and I had to make many adjustments as I went along. It took me a total of nine months to lose the bulk of my weight. Just keep plugging along, and like kommo said definitely look at pre-planning so you'll have good nutrition and figure out how to get enough sleep so you can be alert at work. I worked graveyard for years, it's tough.

Have you tried a zero calorie jello? I make a homemade one with stevia. I add two tablespoons of light whipped topping which is 20 calories. If you feel you really want the lipo shots Groupon usually has deals to get them cheap. I'm sure you can do this without them though. congrats on the weight loss so far!

You. have some decisions to make and only you can do it. Food is not an enemy but it is not your best friend either.
How much weight and issues do you wish to get rid of? Write them down and get busy!

The adipex and shots didn't lose the weight. You did, by eating in a calorie deficit, they maybe just helped. Of course you can do it without them

While you can still afford them, start logging accurately and consistently. And start planning for how you can stay on track once those helpers are gone. Find other ways to cope. Maybe low cal snacks to munch on, diet sodas, positive affirmations, deep breathing exercises, favorite songs, etc. Take the time now to learn about what foods work well in your calorie goal and which don't. Which treat foods can you control portion wise, and which can get out of hand and maybe should be avoided. Figure it out now, and be patient with yourself if there is a learning curve when you do start out on your own - you might have bad days. You might see your progress slow down or even stop at first. That's normal and okay. Just keep moving forward and learning. Good luck!
