Can I ever lose or shrink this Type 2 Diabetic Belly?

I've lost almost 50 pounds and now find that I am slender nearly every part of my body but this big belly. I look 8 months pregnant. My glucose numbers are beginning to get under control. What the medication has not done, the low carb diet has made the difference. But what about this belly? Will it shrink or flatten? Do my organ actually have to get smaller or is it just pure fat? Any information you have is helpful. Thanks.

Same problem if you get an answer, let me know. I seem to loose weight everywhere but my stomach it seems.0

You don't say if you are at your goal weight, so I am just generalizing.
I am apple shaped so even at my goal weight I carry more abdominal fat than someone who is pear shaped.
Getting to a mid range BMI, via a calorie deficit will help with the belly fat.
To help support your organs do some type of resistance work, bodyweight or lifting heavy things, to help strengthen your abdominal muscles.
(If you are already at your goal weight look at the 'recomposition' thread in the 'maintaining' sub-forum.)
Practicing good posture at all times helps also.
You may never get rid of it totally, I never have as I have not the dedication, but you can improve it.
