I think it was originally part of a lamp or light fixture, repurposed as a lawn decoration. My mom got it at a salvage store.0 -

Took me a minute, but ewwwwwww!!
When I was a kid, my mom would brush my hair when I was sick, and eventually put it in a pony tail. To this day, it always feels better to brush my hair. (And drink ginger ale and grape juice. Makes the best grape soda.) (I need a new hair brush!)
