Dehydrator tips, tricks and recipes
I recently purchased a used dehydrator at a garage sale. I have been dehydrating tomatoes like crazy. I love these on salads. I haven't tried anything else. I have a garden full of veggies and herbs and would like to preserve as much as I can. Any tips, recipes etc you could share if you are a big fan and user of the dehydrator?

Make crackers to use instead of bread: 400 gm walnuts( soaked and blended to create like a dough), about 5 courgettes grated, 1cup golden flax meal = put all in blender to combine with salt to taste ( can add garlic and all sorts of things here). Spread on dehydrator sheets, Dehydrate about 1 1/2 Days in 120 to keep all nutrients. Great as breakfast and lunch crackers....1

My favorite fruits are thinly sliced cantaloupes and honey dew melons. Just slice a halved de-seeded melon through the skin and all.
Biltong is a good alternative to jerky which sliced after dehydrating so easier. For jerky you can get the butcher to slice beef on the cold cut slicer, or buy thinly sliced bulgogi beef from the frozen section of an Asian supermarket to save the work of slicing.0
