Every few weeks, maybe. It's calorie dense and not something I love that much so I don't have it often.

You can tell they are ripe when that little stem pops off or is missing from the fruit. The flesh will be darker, it should be slightly soft. The softer it is the more ripe it is and the quicker to going bad.

Umm... I dunno once every few weeks I guess. Depends what I’m having for dinner. I had some tonight because we ate tacos/burrito for dinner.

I haven't had them for a long time as they are out of season and $6 each, which I refuse to pay. I am in New Zealand.

Not very often. They don't pair well with the majority of other things I eat.

Maybe a once or twice a week what does everyone use them with?

It's a little like asking how often one eats butter, or hummus, or cheese. They each have their place and go well with certain things, and sometimes they're interchangeable, but I can't think of a reason to have it more frequently than the others.

Maybe bi-annually. Avocados don’t grow naturally here. The ones I have bought were either mushy or hard and bland. I don’t think I know how to pick a fresh one and I haven’t tasted one at its peak.

Do you have to keep lime juice handy so it doesn’t go brown?

Toasted cheese and avocado sandwich is my favourite lunch in the world. I have one every work day. On big gym days I have two.

I was eating 1/4 avocado everyday. But I recently reduced my cal count by a couple hundred points and avocado had to go.

I really like avocados but they aren't something that I regularly think of buying. When I do- they seem to go bad before I get to them. I know they are healthy but I typically spend my calories elsewhere.

Most of my avocados are free when they're in season, so I'd just keep on eating every day until they're all gone.

I eat them every night! Going through radiation therapy, had brain surgery I'n, March I have not had one symptom ,I swear its the avocados . I was suppose to lose my hair week 2 or 3 I still have my hair that and lots of water. I am in week 5.

Glad you're enjoying your avocado and it's perceived medicinal qualities. Wishing you a full recovery from your recent surgery.

By the way, radiation doesn't cause hair loss. That's usually caused by chemotherapy.

Rarely. Either if I go to Panera for a Turkey Avocado BLT or splurge on guac at Chipotle.

Not very often. They tend to be more expensive.

I buy 3 or 4 every trip to the supermarket, which would be twice a week. I can't imagine my sandwiches and burrito bowls without them.

hmm. I never considered that. I always just give em a light squeeze if they feel like a proper tomato they're good to go.

Hardly ever. I live in NZ and they’re stupidly expensive here.

Only when they are less than 99 cents each! Sometimes they have a mesh bag of 5 or 6 for $1.99! Then I eat one every day. I have good luck growing the seeds; I put two outside in pots because I thought they'd like the hot weather, and they were looking wonderful. That is until the chipmunks dined on them. So I just started two new ones. Everyone laughs at me because I live in NE Ohio, but keep trying to grow myself an avocado tree. I get them to be a couple of feet tall, and something bad always happens to them. My favorite way to eat them is just a half buried under some low-fat cottage cheese, seasoned with some jalapeno hot sauce, and I call it lunch.
