Focus 100% on diet. It all comes down to calories in calories out. Look up TDEE for your weight and height. Cut 500 cals from that to lose 1lb a week.

Use MFP the way it's intended. Plug in your information, set activity level to sedentary and try 1lb a week. Get a food scale and weigh everything. Log accurately. Give it about a month and see how your weight is moving, if it is keep doing what you're doing. If not, make adjustments. Stopping ice cream and such isn't a necessity unless you absolutely can't control yourself with them and/or they don't fit in your daily calories.

Use the calculator to calculate a calorie deficit. Agree 1lb per week is a good start. You can experiment with your calories after you learn the process.

Get a food scale. Start a food diary. Try to hit your number. Log in everything you eat or drink that has calories. Keep your diary no matter what. Going over your number is not a reason to quit your diary. You will soon find you have a better chance to hit your number if you have a plan for each day and week.

Start a walking program. If you can walk five minutes, do that. My first workout was 8 minutes on a stationery bike. That was the most I could do. Weight loss takes place mostly in the kitchen. Good luck.

Start with eating in a calorie deficit.

Do any standing/walking that you can
