Hi, new to this site...

I have finally started what I promised myself I would do. For some reason it took the Video food diary epoisode of Rachel Ray to put me opver the edge and motivate me. I saw what was eaten and how much less must have been eaten becuase they knew they were filming and this is a technique in and of itself.. plus one woman had 3700 one day and it really didnt seem much like a binge.. easy to do that amount.. so
I am on 1600 calories and I am doing fine except that before I made up my mind this morning I had three servings of tortilla chips and I see how it has messed up my day in terms of carbs and fats. I think with this site I will be able to make wiser selections.
I am going to go bike riding in a few minutes. I only do four miles and come home right now, but considering I stratedf with two miles and that I am on antibiotic and coughing and still want to go I feel proud and good about that.. see you soon.. Cindy

    Hi Cindy and Welcome:flowerforyou: It's easy to be tempted, but we get stronger as days go by. Hope it's warm where you are. I went for my walk today and it was really cold and windy.

    thank you for your warm welcome! I actually rode 5.2 miles and feel good about that. Somehow just by doing something physical I can carry my body with more dignity than I have been doing in the recent past. I guess I am not as disgusted... things are looking up.

    Thank you.. Love the photo of the Grand Canyon behind you and your family. I actually rode 5.2 miles and for me.. that's ao good start. It added 213 calories that I could use.. but I wont.. at lest not today!

    Good luck! We can keep each other company. I am at this point veru excited and hopeful. While I could loose more, I just would like to take off 30 pounds and get my belly down a bit... what are your goals? Cindy

    It wasnt.. it was lind of cold and I thought I maight have heard thunder but it made me move more quickly so that I could get home and warm up. My son came with me which made me feel great as he needs to loose too,
