Sugar Craving

I was really craving something sugary today so decided to get a snickers. I actually ate the whole thing! Usually I only half a few bites or a half. But I felt like eating the whole thing today so I did. I guess I was thinking that once in a while, junk food won't kill me... But for the next six weeks I plan to really stick to the program and keep up on my exercise. I would like to lost 10 lbs. I'm 148 and my goal weight is 138, so I hope to achieve it.

I think it's good to include treats in your diet so you know how to reasonably fit them in. Life is never going to always throw perfect food situations at you, so enjoying treats while under control can help you make better decisions when food choices are limited.5

I always make room in my diet for chocolate. It’s cheaper than booze and more effective than anti-depressants.7

I include treats all the time.
I can't imagine life without having treats.
I learned portion control and moderation so I can include treats into my daily life while still minding my weight.
I found that deprivation only leads to misery in the end for me. I would end up over indulging after months of depriving myself.

I have treats all the time, I just make sure to fit them into my calories. Nothing wrong with having sweets or salty snacks.5

With only 10 lbs to lose, target 1/2 lb per week.3

You beat me to it.
@Jadu786 I will get sugar cravings if I'm not eating enough. My body asks me for sugar, but it really just wants more food.
My metabolism revs premenstrually, and my appetite spikes at this time - it's the first sign my period is imminent. I eat at maintenance for a few days at this time and voila - no sugar cravings.2 -
How much fat is in a snickers?
ETA. Fat = 12g. 108 calories.
Sugar = 27g. 108 calories.3 -
I would be sad if I couldn't have my favorite chocolate for the next 6 weeks. Why not fit it into your plan. If you cut your loss rate to 1/2 lb a week, you could easily fit it in every once in a while. It will keep you sane. Or at least teach you that eating a snickers occasionally won't stop you from losing as long as you keep to your overall calories.2

Personally, I'd have bought a bag of mini snickers or fun sized snickers and had one or two every day. Because I love me some snickers.2
