What is your favorite gym? I am trying to decide on a new gym to sign up at, but it’s a bit overwhelming with all the different options. Any input would be much appreciated. I am located in the Tampa, FL area now if that helps. Thank you!

    The one I'm in.

imho, one of the most important criteria of a gym is location. It needs to be convenient to you. Then look at what the gym has to offer to help you meet your specific goals.

I would rather train at a gym with just a lot of weights and a bit of cardio gear. I don't need a swimming pool or a basketball court or a steam room.... but that's just me.

There are a lot of local gyms, people's opinion on those wont matter. PowerHouse gyms are independently owned and operated. They owners pay for the use of the PowerHouse name and that is it. They don't have to follow any standards.
Places like Planet Fitness can also be independently owned but have standards to follow. The equipment could be different from location to location.
See if the gyms in Tampa have a week or a trial membership where you don't have to sign a contract. Take your time and look around. See how friendly the staff is and how well the equipment is maintained.

The one that’s the most convenient and has the equipment or amentities that you want. My favorite was a lifetime fitness but it’s stupid expensive lol.
