Really bad month for total miles, but at least I ran on the last day! That is all that matters right! Saw some turkeys and a woodpecker. Danced with a dog briefly. Pretty normal humid run I guess. A bit slow. Definitely not in marathon shape anymore but could still run a 1/2 at any time at least.
Ah well... tomorrow is a new day and a new month!

Next month? Ok. That explains why it wasn't in next years agenda :-)
Well, it is in the agenda cause I have not decided on it yet. Also, I am noticing I have at least one race missing from that list. I need to check my calendar and update it in the September thread...1 -
Last night had my final run for August.
10 km Riverbank trails. Took me 4 km before I felt free and was able to get on pace. Did manage to finish strong.
No where close to goal even with a HM race at the start of the month.

Well, the seller went with the other offer, but that means we probably pushed them $25k+ over the asking price, and I feel weirdly good about that. It’s a great house and I hope the other buyers love it. Or that their *kitten* falls through and we get a call in a week or a month or so.
I did not go for my long run this morning, having had a very late night, but seeing as our schedule is suddenly much more open, I feel like we’re getting September off to a good start. Which, I suppose, means switching to the other thread...Goal was 50 but Pushed thru to 66.7 miles this month-

HA! Well we can mark it up that a much better deal awaits you.

I was a complete fail on my August goal of 59 miles. Not even worth putting up totals it was so bad. Hoping I can get myself together, plan better, and Sept will be a new start.5

Every day is a new start! I am a big fan of setting absurdly easy-seeming goals, because it’s harder to make excuses not to go for them, and once you blow them away, you can always go for a stretch!4 -
I didn’t make my goal. I thought for sure I would, but I slacked off quite a. It in August. I feel enspired for Sept and with soccer practice for our daughter starting again next week I’ll have two nights were it will be hard to find an excuse. 5k Race next Saturday and debating on doing a Race day registration for a 5k tomorrow...here’s to September4

Awesome!
That's unfortunate. But I'm sure something better is in store for you, or this non purchase spared you from a different circumstance. Life has a weird way doing things and many times not how we want them, but in the end seems to fill what we need.
I always give things a good shot, but i never push things. Sometimes if we push, it may happen but with difficult circumstances attached to it, or the event short lived costing more in money or grief in the long run.
If it's meant to be it will be.1 -

You are so right!
Reason with sep my goal is the jogging on the treadmill a bit everyday not even counting distance. Wishing 🙂but not counting.
But I'm still dreaming of my goal to jog outdoors.3 -
Edited because it is September already... silly me.
149.04 miles vs. goal of 200 miles for August

@midwesterner85 aww. Love you did your best for the snake! I hope the little guy makes it. He surely wouldn't have if you hadn't intervened.2

To report in the right place, having been away from PC and unable to read the forums since Thursday. Friday evening's 'about 5k' race, which was to complete my 97km goal for August, was actually 5.86km according to my Fitbit. I had intended to treat it as a training run and definitely not try to race it, still trying to master keeping to the very slow pace I believe I will be able to sustain to complete the half marathon I'm signed up for in December. However, you know, race day adrenaline and about half way round the course (which was stunning and there was a sea breeze thank God!) two women passed me and they were pottering along chatting like they were taking an easy walk. Well heck I couldn't let them beat me could I, picked up the pace a little and passed them as soon as they started to slow down! Still set a nice slow average pace. Absolutely no idea exactly where I placed, was somewhere in the middle of the pack, not interested in finding out now it's over either. It was a good Friday evening and a good run and that's all that matters.
August goal: 97km. Completed 97.86km. Phew!8 -
