Today I did my 50kg deadlift 1 x 5 ... I had to pause between each lift and reset myself. On the last two I had to pause for a minute before lifting. Does this count? Or should I have done each deadlift consequtively without pausing?

You are supposed to do them without letting go of the bar. Ideally.
I would suggest going down in weight until you reach one where you can do five in a single set that way.

Your form may need adjustments or very unlikely you are ready for more advanced programming. What are your stats on how long have you been on SL?

    Squat 32.5kg
    OHP 21kg
    Bench 24.5 kg
    Row 24.5kg
    DL 50kg

I have been lifting for 10 weeks but SL for about 6. I have the app which had been getting me to add fractional plates to the OHP and BP started at 15kg

I am female 5'1 weighing 80kg. Before this I did a 45kg DL with no breaks in between the reps. I did have to miss last week due to moving house so that might have something to do with it. I actually didn't manage the 21kg OHP today either had to push press the final two reps of the 5th set

I don't think there's anything wrong with pausing to reset before each rep; it's a good way to make sure your form is perfect on every rep and that you're not bouncing the bar off the floor. If you're needing to take actual rest breaks, though, that's a different story. Based on your last update, you might've just been feeling a little extra fatigued.

Yeah a pause and reset between reps can be great. But not an actual rest. You are than likely still fatigued from the move. It's incredible how taxing they are both physically and mentally. I'd say wait till your next deadlift day and then try that weight again. If you experience the same thing, definitely lower it and work your way back up.

Both of these could contribute to missing reps and not disrupting homeostatsis in a useful way for lifting. I would repeat this past week and see how things move. I would hazard you will be fine moving forward for a few more weeks. If you have problems take 5% off bar for the remaining sets for this one week and then repeat the week for DL at scheduled dosage from there on out.

Btw, nothing wrong with resetting between reps but taking minute breaks between reps is a flag. You might have to take a slightly longer break in between sets if this happens again.

Re gripping after each rep is fine - it will help you keep good form with heavier weights. if you have to rest catch your breathe between 34&5 maybe it's time to reset the weight about 20% lower and progress up from there.

I do pause a bit longer in between on deadlifts, and re adjust my grips if I need to, but if you're resting a whole minute in between then I would think you probably need to go down in weight until you can do 5 consecutive
