Goal accomplished - You can do it too!

Starting weight: 181
Ending weight: 160
Height: 5'10"
Duration: 7 months
My weight crept up from 160 to 180 over 15 years. So, I went on my first diet ever.
I weighed myself daily though some of us prefer to do it less frequently. Note the weight variation of 2 to 4 pounds on a day to day basis, even though I weighed myself at the same time and circumstances every day. This is a known variation most of us experience. Lesson here: don't worry about small changes. Keep the big picture in mind.
Also note the plateau in June followed by steep "catch-up" loss in July. I didn't change my eating or workout habits during that period.
I overshot my goal by a few pounds and am still stabilizing into maintenance.
How can you do this? There's no magic. You've read it here before. Set reasonable monthly goals (don't lose too fast). Weigh everything. Track exercise calories. Be a CICO fanatic and zealot! Be patient. And be ruthlessly honest and kind to yourself. You can do this.
