Need more protein, tired of the drinks! Help!

I am 21 days post gastric bypass surgery. Just finished Phase 1 (Liquid Only) of the post-op meal plan. I am now in Phase 2 (Mushy foods). I need ideas for HIGH protein "mushy foods." I do not eat yogurt, cottage cheese or baby food. So any ideas that do not involve these foods would be great. Any help is appreciated. Have a blessed day:)

Why do you not eat yogurt or cottage cheese? Those are probably two of the highest-protein mushy foods there are.

How about scrambled eggs/egg whites or finely mushed canned tuna with mayonnaise? Pretty mushy.

    Or whey protein shakes.

The greek yogurts are especially high in protein and several have fruit blended in, though vanilla is tasty on it's own. Try different types. Oikos is my favorite and has a very nice consistency. Good luck!

If you mashed up some beans, would that be mushy enough? Soft cheese and scrambled eggs/egg whites are also good ideas. You could also use harder cheeses if you melt them into your scrambled eggs.

You should be calling your doctor's office with questions like this. These people show they are well intentioned but know nothing about nutrition after gastric bypass. You knew before surgery you were going to have to do protein shakes so keep on drinking.

What about thick soup? You could make a bean heavy minestrone and puree it. Like another poster mentioned, many of us don't know what the dietary restrictions are agter surgery.... do you have a dietician to help you through this transition period?

peanut butter, or any nut butter would be good. Sometimes I melt cheddar if I'm low on protein and fat but over on my carbs for the day. I'm not certain how this much fat would affect someone after surgery though.
