eat whatever you like, in portions that fit your goals.
if you follow MFP's goals then you should eat back at least a portion of your exercise calories.
i find looking at the weekly goal more useful than daily. you can be under or over depending on the day (i eat more at the weekend) and still hit your weekly goal0 -
What do you like to eat? Eat that!
The calorie recommendation mfp gave you already has a deficit calculated in to it. You eat all of those calories. The calculation is partly based on your normal daily activity - you shouldn't have considered your purposeful exercise/workouts when you selected this.
Exercise earns you extra calories - most people suggest that the calorie burns given from exercise are overinflated and recommend only eating part of them back.
All calculations are just estimates though, so track your results over a few weeks and compare them to your expected results to determine whether you need to adjust calories or not.0 -
I personally don’t eat calories earned from exercise, I just try to meet my calorie goal.4

which means, if you're using MFPs figures, you're potentially under eating, which is no more healthy than being over weight.7 -
Just seems like so many calories 1600 to me that's Seema a lot but guess it's not.
Maybe I've not been eating enough !!0 -

It is hard for me to find healthier, calorie dense foods on this “diet,” and when I began to track and weigh foods i noticed I was barely hitting 1000 calories. It’s easy eating 2 whoppers that are almost 700 calories each, but when it comes to eating healthy it’s almost like a revelation to how much I was over eating on bad things and not staying satisfied. So I have decided to up my portion sizes and that has made a difference.
