Hello everyone!

I'm not new to MFP, but this is the first time I've really poked around the forums, and I'm genuinely amazed at how supportive everyone seems.

This isn't the first time I've tried to lose weight, but life and stress and lack of motivation made me putter out. Something's different this time around.

I'm at 300 pounds right now, but this is the first time in over a decade that I feel like I can actually make it down to a healthy weight. A lot of the changes I've made (I'm following DASH) are perfectly sustainable and honestly, I don't feel like I'm dieting at all, even after two months of it. Even worked up the courage to buy a scale so I can monitor how fast I'm losing and adjust as necessary.

Even if I don't hit my goal weight, I'm still feeling so much better than I have in years. It's fantastic.

Is anyone else doing DASH?

Welcome! I'm not following DASH, but I'm following many of its principles (home cooking, balanced meals, fresh fruit and veg, whole grains, variety). I think what's most important for a diet to work, is that it doesn't feel like a diet.
