Protein: 0.8 grams per pound of bodyweight at normal weight. Fat: 0.6 grams per pound of bodyweight at normal weight. Consider those as minimums.
But a general question like that makes it likely that you can use MFP's setup at least for a while and practice accurate logging, or even ignore macros.0 -
MFPs macros are fine to start with, use fat and protein as minimums.1

"Best" will depend on the person: their circumstances, their goals and their food preferences.
My best was 1g protein per lb of estimated lean mass as a minimum, fat nominally at 0.4g per lb of bodyweight as a minimum - rest of my calorie allowance was free to come from any of the macros but mostly carbs.
"OK" for the majority of people would include using the defaults as a guideline (not a rigid limit).
Is there a particular reason you feel the need to change the macro set up? "Your goal" is likely to be shared by many but you haven't said what it is.

It depends. The recommendations here are good. However, there are people who don't get satiated from fats and/or protein. Some people just eat lots of carbohydrates and feel best with them. So it's really individual.0
