HI! :) I am looking for some positive reinforcement!! I am 61 years old, what they call morbidly obese and I have End Stage Osteoarthritis in both of my feet and ankles. I lead pretty much a sedentary life, I walk with the assistance of a cane and a wheeled walker. I make myself keep going but I have come to the realization that I have to drop what ever amount of weight that I possibly can to be able to go on. I have started a water walking class, I go out every other morning and walk for about 40 minutes and started a resistance band exercise while sitting in a chair. I am hoping to pal up with someone who has been able to lose weight at this age and such a high weight. I plan on a diet that is just watching what I eat. I did this before and had results, but that was when I was more able to get around a lot easier.
So, is there anyone who can help me out?? :)

I think you're off to a great start. You're active to a great degree considering your mobility issues and if you track your food here and set sensible goals for reducing your calorie intake then you will see results.

I have a LOT of weight to lose as well but I'm 41 without any major physical issues. I wish you the best of luck on your journey but it sounds like you are taking the right steps.

People of all ages lose weight by eating less (and moving more). If you can't move more, eat less. The higher the weight, the faster your weight can drop. But you have to monitor your calorie intake, and make sure you're not exceeding your target.

I'm 71 today and been on here for almost five years.
Let me say you are doing an amazing job with the excercise that great. Log all your food and drink and then you can see just what and how much you eat. You can do this at any age, good luck rooting for you.
