If i binge one day of the week and go over around 500 kcal, but i stay under my allowance for the rest of the week, can i still expect a loss? Because at the end of the week i was still under my allowed calories for the week. Does it work that way or does it have to be a daily deficit?

You total calories over time is what regulates your weight. But 500 calories over goal, even over maintenance, isn't a binge, it's the equvalent of a small dinner or big lunch for a woman.1

Agree that 500 cals isn’t a binge. Binge suggests a total lack of control. Planning lower and higher calorie days can make the whole process easier to live with. But requires good planning.0

The 500 cals i mentioned was how much i exceeded. Not the total calories in that binge.

If your weekly calories are under, you are fine. Some people prefer to eat with a weekly goal, instead of daily.1
