I’m just starting. I’m beyond sedentary. Suffer from depression and anxiety and don’t get out of bed some days. Need motivation to stop that and start living.

First, you will have to get out of bed. I'm not being flippant, because I have had MDD for 2 decades, so I know that lethargic feeling. You don't say if you are under Drs. care, but if you aren't, you need to be. People here can support you and encourage you, but no one can motivate you but you. Have you considered why you want to lose weight? write it down and go back and read it again when you feel discouraged. Don't think of it as a diet, but think of it as a change in lifestyle - but I know when you feel depressed you often can't act on your own behalf and every thing feels like too much effort. But you will have to reach deep inside yourself, knowing that you are capable of doing this. Once you start eating better and maybe getting a bit of exercise, you will find some energy. You don't have to make all the changes all at once - pick one thing - saying drinking more water and do that. There is a thread on one of these boards called JFT - Just for Today, that let you set a goal for yourself each day. That way it is not so overwhelming. Remind yourself that you are doing this for you - that you want to be a healthier you.
