I got a message saying I should introduce myself. I figured I got some free time, why not.

Hello, I'm a 27 year old father of 2 who is severely overweight.
I'm looking into trying to get healthy, and get back to the weight / fitness I was when I was in college.
I'm 5'10" and currently weigh 286 lbs. I'm looking to get back to closer to 180 lbs while also being an athletic build.
I gained this weight over about a 4 year period, and have been sitting at my current weight for a year or 2 now.

I'm not 100% on what I'm doing yet other than trying to start lifting weights some, and trying to eat healthier.
I'm lifting weights and not really doing "cardio" because right now I'm so out of shape that I can barely walk down the street without feeling severe pain in my feet / legs. I intend to work into cardio as I start to lose some weight.

I'm thinking about going as close to paleo as possible. Not because I think it's a magic diet, but because I did it for a while before, showed good results, and it made it simple on what I would or wouldn't eat. I find simple very good for me keeping up on eating healthy.

I guess that's all I have to say? this is the end of my post... lol

    Hello! I follow a Paleo diet and am currently making a Paleo Recipes book of all the meals I've tried and like. Would love to see and share recipes to find something we haven't tried yet and vice versa!
