A very well reasoned, insightful read on it here: https://bodyrecomposition.com/fat-loss/of-bmi-and-weighing-frequency.html/

I weigh daily and log it into a weight trending app. Some prefer weekly, monthly, etc. It's all up to personal preference and, as stated in the above link, how one psychologically handles the inevitable (and perfectly natural) fluctuations.

    That is an individual thing.

Some people like daily. Some Weekly. Some monthly. Some don’t weigh at all.

I weigh daily, but watch the trend over time. I like this method best.

I'm another daily weigher with a trending app.

The scale used to freak me out and I'd let it dictate whether or not I felt good about myself that day. I was able to let go of that habit before I found out that trending apps existed but the trending app makes fluctuations even more understandable and acceptable

I was told to weigh once a week... Because when you weigh yourself often, you could get discourage... Also, your weight will fluctuate... I do mine on Sundays, close to the same time and I wear the same thing... Plus, I take measurements...

    I generally don't weigh every day - maybe 3 times a week.

We should each decide how much data we need and weigh ourselves accordingly.

I decided that weighing in once a week was enough of a check in with the scale for me. I understand fluctuations but still don't like daily weigh ins.
