Graphing weight loss: interesting observations

Options
I'm graphing my weight day-by-day so I can see patterns (if any) in order to understand how my body works.

BUMPY, NOT SMOOTH — I notice that there are days in a row (5-8) that I hover around the same weight, as if I am battling around this one number and nothing is happening. Then, suddenly, there are a few days in a row (2-4) of major weight loss. All the while my diet has stayed steady. Looking at the graph of my weight loss, it's more of a scalloped edge than a straight line: bumps and then a slide down.

THOUGHTS — is it possible that water fills in when fat cells leave or deflate, creating those mini-plateaus? Is the water suddenly released resulting in a nice chunk of weight loss? I'm beginning to think so.

TAKEAWAY — So, I will trust the process: even when it "seems" I'm are not losing weight, I'll just hang in there and trust he downward slope will come.
