Running and Shin Splints

Every time I begin running again I consistently have to deal with shin splints. I’ve changed my shoes so I don’t think it’s that. I have put on a bit of weight so I’m sure that contributes to it. Is there any advice on how to deal with them and how to prevent them?

    Hi, it will differ from person to person. Might be you are doing too much too soon? Get an expert to have a look at what shoes suit you best. This worked for me.

    Do you do any stretching?

    Run slower, stretch and ice afterwards
