I ate/eat at a calorie deficit consistently. I log as accurately as possible long term til I achieve the results I want.1

Started at ~130lbs and 5'1.
Goal was ~105lbs.
I noticed a difference after about losing 10lbs.
Ate 1200 cals a day plus ~200 for each hour of exercise.
From 130 to the low/mid 120's I lost at 1lbs a week. Through to about 8-10 from my goal I lost 0.5 lbs a week.
The last 8-10 lbs came off slower and slower.
It took a year to lose the weight. That was in 2008/9. I have maintained/recomped since then.
You are losing for vanity and health, eating too few calories to make the weight loss faster will be detrimental to both those goals.
Eat at a reasonable deficit, 0.5-1lbs a week, lift some weights, or do Pilates, or another conditioning type routine that will help preserve your muscles and bone density while also resculpting your body.
Do cardio because it is good for your heart and lungs.
Eat back your exercise calories.
cheers, h.
ETA: I carry my excess fat in my stomach, it was the last to go, and only really started looking good once I started lifting.5
