I was wondering does anyone know why if I burned 100 calories from steps, then I burn calories from a cardio workout, my step calories disappear. Also I will continue to burn less calories from steps throughout the day than if I had not burned calories from cardio work outs. Does anyone know why this is? My steps are calculated from my iOS health app if it matters.

The extra calories calculated that are logged as steps are the extra that your device thinks you have burned compared to what MFP has given you. Not just for the steps themselves. So once exercise is transferred it can remove the extra calories. I find mine balance out by the end of the day.0
