Fitbit Flex 2 double tracking during swimming?

I just recently bought my flex 2, mainly for the purpose of tracking my swimming. However, while I have found it does track my swimming perfectly, I think it also counts steps while swimming. I live around 300m from the pool and when I arrive back it shows I have done around 5000 steps and walked 4km. I fear this may be increasing the calories burnt as it also automatically detects the swimming (logs it as +0 out of [steps taken])
Any advice would be appreciated,
Thanks!

Oh dear - that sounds bad. I was searching the forums for topics on the flex 2 because I was considering it. Now I’m not sure 😐0

If you want it to only count steps and not additional exercise turn off the auto detect for the exercises you do and only steps will be logged0
