Heya,
I’ll try and keep this quick and to the point. So I’ve been bulking for 2 months now, managed to gain 9lbs so far, my strength gains have also been very consistent, I’m happy with how my bulks gone but I’m now starting to feel too fluffy (for lack of a better word). My goal is to be in the best shape I’ve ever been for March next year.
My question is, do I continue to bulk till November as planned then cut till March, giving me 5 months for each, or do I do a cut now for a month, then bulk again, then cut again. I would like to develop my chest more as it’s a lagging body part.
What’s people’s experiences with long bulks/cuts compared to shorter ones
Stats:
6ft 2, 220lbs, with a calorie goal of 3500 for half a lb a week. I’ve added 40kg on my bench press, 35kgs on DL, 40kg on squat, 15kg on OHP. BF estimated at 20%-25%.

Or reduce your surplus so there's less fluff gain?2

Reduce the surplus and keep bulking. Good point. Will make the final cutting easier.1
