Finally a runner

I completed the C25K program about two weeks ago, then a massive blister on my heel sidelined me for a bit.
I’m happy I finished the program because my goal has always been to run.
Question for the runners out there, what kind of schedule do you use with respect to weight training and running?
Thanks in advance!

I'm currently training for a half, i run 3- 4 x a week, strength train 2 x a week (full body) and cross train 2 x a week.3

I "try" to get in the gym after my Tuesday and Friday morning short runs. I also cross train on my bike once or twice a week and get in some yoga when I can.0

I alternate days running and cycling. I lift kettlebells 2x a week. Take one rest day per week.0

There are no rules, but it seems that strength training helps prevent injury and provides some additional power--good for racing and getting up hills. One thing I have tried to do is to hit the weights on a speed work day, so my rest days can be rest days.
