Hi,
I recently went through a metabolic testing that actually showed I need to consume at least 1653 calories in order to lose weight. Here it shows I need to eat only 1200. (or thereabouts)
Anyone have any advice how to adjust this here?
Thanks!

What do you have your goals currently set for, e.g. how many pounds do you want to lose per week and how much weight total?
MFP is a computer with no sense of reason, so if you input that you only have 10 lbs. to lose but want to lose 2 lbs per week, it will put you at 1200 calories by default, even though any human would be able to see that the fast rate of loss is a bad idea.0 -
My Home -> Goals -> Change Goals -> Custom
Set your calories based on your numbers and define your macros.0 -
Thanks all!! That did it. I found out through a test (with a mask, had to lie down and breath) that my RMR is 1649. Then add lifestyle (aka how many calories I burn through just every day life) 495.
Tomorrow I'm going to try to follow the "recommended" diet by the weight loss center I'm going though for the Army. Can't wait to shed this last 10-12!0
