I want this to end

I never was a fan of diets, I want the mentality of dieting to stop and just live. The pressure is too much to keep the mental games going. So, maybe today I can change that.....anyone out there understand what I mean?

Not really, I just believed I had to eat and exercise in a certain way to lose weight, so I struggled and felt hopeless. The minute I understood it's all about calories in/out, I knew what I had to do.

No need for special diets, learn about your caloric needs and eat below that, it will come off

    I think I know what you mean .. here's what I think..

I believe you have to somewhat be where you want to be before you can fully live.. in living, meaning making a choice that you can have an ice cream in moderation, or a Whopper and no fries this week... It takes some time to figure out and learn where you want to be, what to can/can't eat, to know what makes you feel good. I believe it takes some work in playing around with to know what your limits are.. to prevent stomach aches, bloating, etc. No sense eating and eating when you know you will feel yucky.

    Idk?

Luckily you don't have to diet! You just have to hit your calorie goal. Choose a reasonable weekly weight loss goal and log your food, accurately and consistently. Make notes in your diary about how you felt, and then start to notice trends - what did you eat on days you were hungry all dsy? What about days you were never hungry? Felt tired or had extra energy? Where do you waste calories? Start tweaking your food choices based on this learning curve. Eventually you'll have a way of eating that you enjoy and will easily keep you at the right calorie level for the rest of your life.

Hang in there and good luck :drinker:

What do you mean by "diet"? And who says you need to?

Thankfully I learned portion control and moderation so I don't need to be stuck in the dieting mentality anymore.
I know weight loss comes down to calories. Calories in Calories out.
It becomes a lot less stressful in time once you realize that it's a numbers game.

You don't have to call it a diet. You have a certain amount calories to eat and you can eat anything you want within that parameter. You are only accountable to yourself. If you go over a bit one day, you can make up for it another. If you want to lose weight, you get to decide at what rate.
