Dear Pals,

What a GREAT day! What am I saying, they're ALL great!!! BUT, today was truly PHENOMENAL. As anyone who follows me here, or is a flower of PXM Fitness, knows, I am presented with a couple hurtles; Dilated Cardiomyopathy, Stage "C" Congestive Heart Failure, Advanced Rheumatoid Arthritis and Juvenile Diabetes, which I've successfully fought since the tender age of 6, over 50 years ago.

All that being said, today I received a very special, and very unexpected, phone call from the head of the Heart Transplant Team at Cedar Sinai. My heart has reached the point where I need a Transplant; and last week, I began the long process of Transplant candidacy application. Today, I received a call from the head of the program, telling me that he just wanted to chat. He said he usually does not do this but after reading my heart history file and the remarks made by my Cardiology Team. He said he just wanted to tell me that he's never heard of such a case. With a Left Ventricle Ejection Fraction (the heart's pumping power) of less than 20%, he said I should be homebound, on oxygen, but I am continuing a very athletic life. He then wrote that he read about my published studies on fitness, muscle wasting and positivity. After he told me, according to all the studies and books, it should be impossible for me to do all that I do; I told him, that's the problem, we don't read the same books! Then I gave him a wink. So, now; once again, another doctor is telling me that I need to write a book and he asked if I might consider giving talks for their Mending Hearts program. If course, I said yes.

Pals, in not telling this story to brag. I simply hope that by reading this, and my other posts, that you will be motivated to push on toward your own successful journey to fitness. After first losing a little over 255 pounds, eight years ago, and now jumping these hurtles, I can honestly say that I've never felt better in my life! You see, I have a confession, I have a MAJOR LEAGUE addiction. I'm addicted to getting incredibly high on life!!!

Stick with it Pals, look past the bad days because there are always better ones on the other side of the hurtle. As my grandfather used to always say...
Everything is going to be alright!

Stay 'Healthy' My Friends!

PS Atrached is this morning's update photo. I'm still seriously wasted from several months of having to ease up on training, but I'm back in the gym now and feeling GREAT!!!wqe4y97tvup7.jpeg

This might be the best thing I've read in days, because this is really why we're all here isn't it? You are the proof that the lives we're all in pursuit of are POSSIBLE and the hard work is worth it.

I hope that you're very proud of yourself for all you've accomplished and for giving yourself the best shot at a full and healthy life. Your fitness is inspiring to me.

Good luck with your transplant candidacy and your future transplant. Please do write that book.

You are amazing and proof that it's never too late to take your health into your own hands and do something about it.
