I'm probably going to sound incredibly stupid for asking this question but is cornmeal good for you I love cornbread and like to eat it with beans which the beans help me to get in my protein I need so is cornbread "bad" for you? Also, should I make sure to get the yellow cornmeal vs. the white??

well, there are better grains and carbs out there. It's not bad, but whole grain bread might be better. I'd be more concerned with GMO's than white vs yellow. I say continue eating it in moderation if you like it! Good choice with the beans, add a veggie, and you're all set.

No, unless you take the view of Paleo zealots and that grains are the devil and killed the Mayans

I am not a fan of good vs. bad foods. There are some things you should eat in moderation, e.g. not every day, not in large quantities. But I still wouldn’t call the food “bad.” But I digress…

Enjoy it as long as it doesn’t cause you to go over in calories. White corn is no better or worse for you than yellow corn, one is made from yellow corn and one from white. Additionally, add some protein to your beans and cornbread and you’ll have a nice balanced meal.
