I have o use Samsung health for now until the fitbit charge 3 hr comes out. I have an advance order with QVC but anyways. I keep the phone in my pocket while walking and it's not to loose or tight against me. How accurate would it be? I was told before it's fairly accurate.

I've used it for a very long time and found it to be completely accurate. However the step counter accuracy depends mostly on your phone and not so much on the app. All pedometer apps use the same hardware to detect your steps.

    S8 should work perfectly. I have s7.

I have a "lesser" model (a5 2017) and it is pretty accurate.

I have an s5 and it grossly underestimates my steps by close to 1/3.

I used to use Samsung health on my s7 in my pocket while wearing a fitbit alta. I noticed Samsung health would be slightly ahead of my fitbit. I would hit 10000 steps with the app whereas my Alta was around 9200 steps. Although I can say for sure which one of the two was the more accurate one.
