Hello all, 50 years old here and made the decision to lose the excess weight because of health issues. Being a diabetic with high blood pressure and add M.S. to that equation and I hope you get the picture. After spinal surgery two weeks ago made me realize I had to make some serious changes somewhere, namely my diet and weight. I do all the cooking here at home, so I have control over what the meals in the house are. My dilemma is a severe fish allergy. Not shellfish, but fin fish. I dread the thought of chicken all the time, so I prepare normal meals but smaller portions. I still find it hard to wrap my head around 3 oz. is a protein serving size. I have changed to smaller plates and smarter eating habits when it comes to snacks. Feel free to friend me, I always look forward to sharing ideas with people.

You decide how much to eat of any food, your total calories target is what you have to focus on. You can probably stop snacking altogether (but talk to your doctor/dietician first to be sure).1
