If you have any pointers suggestions or can offer any help I’m open to hearing it all. I’m 31 yrs old and I’ve struggled with my weight for as long as i can remember. I’m not on any specific diet. I’ve just started out slowly working out for about an hour a day about 3-4 days a week. Which is a lot for me since i haven’t worked out a day in my life. As far as diet I’ve cut out soda, snacks chips, candy, cookies etc. I’m also working on portion control which is a big one for me. I’ve cut down on fast food and trying to eat 3meals a day. TIA

You lose weight by eating less and moving more, but exercise is generally not as effective as eating less.
If you rephrase your problem into "my eating habits are not optimal", it's easier to see how you can fix it.
Don't just randomly cut out and change things. Decide how many calories you need to eat to lose - depending on your weight - up to 1% of your bodyweight per week. (You need a calorie deficit of 3500 to lose a pound of fat.) Then decide what you're going to eat, you can prelog one or more days in your food diary. Pay attention to how that makes you feel. If you're feeling better, do more of it. If you feel miserable, do less of it.
Then find ways to keep moving.2
