I made sweet potato fries for my little one and I tonight. Just sweet potato, a little oil and some herbs and that's it. I measured my portion to be 150g. How many calories roughly would that be?? How do I put it in??

You can use the "quick add" feature or look up "sweet potatoes USDA" and use the results. If using the quick add add some calories for the oil, if you used "sweet potatoes" search for the oil as well.

It is probably 130 calories, + a few for the oil and spices. 140 tops, 135 is probably good. (if using Quick add)

"United States Department of Agriculture." They maintain a database of calorie values that is generally considered to be among the most reliable.

However, any MFP database entry with "USDA" in it is going to be user-entered. To find system entries for whole foods, I get the syntax from the USDA database and plug that into MFP.

Here is a link explaining how to use the USDA.

At the top of each sub-forum there is a lthread called 'most helpful posts' - lots of good information in them.

    Cheers, h.
