Rower - Calories Burned

I have been using the rower the last few weeks. I am enw to using one, but so far it's been fun.
I have checked many different calories calculators and the difference between them with the same information put in makes it difficult to know which one.
If I am 5'10, 196, going moderate speed for say 30 mins would it be reasonable that I could assume 300 calories (30 calories per 10 minutes) to be put in to MFP?

I'm 210 and MFP has 15 minutes of rowing, moderate effort, at 166 calories. Why don't you just log it in using the rowing exercise in MFP's exercise listings?0

If it's a Concept2 you can use https://www.concept2.com/indoor-rowers/training/calculators/calorie-calculator4

I have. Gives me 30 minutes and says it is 148 calories. That seems low to me. I could be wrong. It gives me less than what it gives you for double the time. Doesn't make sense. (Yes I made sure I put in 30 minutes and not 15).0 -

I'm going to have to look on mine (it has the PM3) and check the conversion. I've always just used my Garmin.....
OP it's hard to guess without knowing a bit more. What's your pace per 500/m? (or....how many metres do you row in 30 minutes?)2 -
I have a PM5 on my Concept 2 rower which has been very accurate for me.
I typically burn 137-138 cals rowing 2500m in 12.5 mins at a pace of 27-28 SPM and rate of burn at 660-700 cals/hr
I do four 2500m intervals for a total cal burn of about 550 cals/day.0 -

Matters how hard/effectively you row, not just how many minutes you row. How many meters did you get in 30 minutes, or what was your average split (minutes per 500m) for the piece?
As a li'l ol' lady, 30 minutes of energetic but manageable steady state (well slower than race pace) is good for 318 calories at 2:23.5 split (118 watts), at 134 pound bodyweight.
ETA: That's the weight-adjusted C2 calorie estimate. HRM said 250, with 10 minutes of WU and CD included. MFP says sonething in the 300s or so, depending on whether I call it moderate or vigorous effort. I think C2 is most likely to be most accurate, for reasons too tedious to explain. I think the MFP estimates in this category are silly: "Moderate" to one of us is unlikely to be "moderate" to the other. FWIW, I logged the low one, the HRM.1
