If you could design a home gym, what equipment would you buy yourself first?

    Here's a list of what I had with my home gym:

    Dumbbells from 2.5lbs up to 95 lbs
    Olympic barbell
    Cast Iron Olympic plates ranging in size from 2.5lb up to 45lb. Combined total weight of over 900 lbs
    Olympic curl bar
    Flat bench
    Squat rack (This was also used for benching, etc)
    Lat pulldown/row cable system
    heavy bag
    jump ropes
    resistance tubing/bands
    chains
    CycleOps Fluid2 bicycle trainer (allows my regular bicycle to be used as a stationary bike)


    If I were to do it over again, I'd do the same again but would add kettlebells, heavy rope and a sled.

    Dip bars and pull up bars. Calisthenics all the way
