So I have lost all this weight , why then have I lost all my friends at home. Some say my whole personality has changed, perhaps my outlook on life has changed. Perhaps the name calling means nothing, yes even my age it goes on. What I am trying to say is that we are all responsible for our actions. Our life has been mapped out, our destiny planned.
Which ever path you choose, be healthy, have fun and take care.

Meh get new friends or be happy you dont have the burden of negative nelly's who want to keep you down and depressed as them
  • I actually know someone close to me that had weight loss surgery, lost all this weight (but lied about how she actually lost it), and now this person really is completely different. They cannot walk buy a shiny surface (metal on doors, store windows, etc.) without stopping to check themselves out. They also CONSTANTLY take model poses for the camera, only post about exercise and diet on facebook, and tell everyone that it was diet and exercise that made them lose weight. Eating is a chore and they constantly complain about their stomach hurting because they can only consume a tiny amount of food and then throw it up. But they feel the need to comment on everyone else's food choices as well.

Obviously there will be some changes.....there will be more confidence, less "bad foods", taking time to work-out, and sharing your story with others who notice the differences, but there needs to be a balance and I think some form of humility and discretion (and truthfulness, especially when people ask you how you did it and then think that it's possible to lose 100 pounds in 7 months by doing "small things").

So, while I don't know you, some people really do change when they lose weight. I am aware of how this person I know has changed and I don't want to do the same thing.

But yes, sometimes people are truly envious when others lose weight.....especially if they know they should be living healthier but they aren't.

Just my two cents : )

Often we socialize around food and drink so if you stop partaking it's harder for them to relate to you.

    And envy...there's alway envy.

It might just be a stage in life. Perhaps they feel threatened.

Make more friends on here! It's great to be able to socialise with others on the same path. Feel free to add me if you want.
