Tools of the Trade

Hi All,

I'm a newbie to everything it seems - new to myfitnesspal and new to seriously working to drop a few pounds. Besides counting calories and excercise, I'm really unsure of the tools I'll need to do this. By joining mfp to count calories, I've gathered that I'll probably need some sort of scale to measure some food portions, but what else would you all suggest? Also, suggestions for a good food scale would be greatly appreciated. Thanks :-)
