I'm 75 years old and have been over weight since puberty. I am hoping to improve my health by losing weight so I can go to Europe next year. My chances are pretty slim. (No pun intended)

Best of luck! start logging your food/calories here at MFP and try to get some exercise in even if its just a 30 min walk. I use a Fitbit fitness tracker to help me be more accurate with steps/exercise calories. Try weighing your foods, salad dressings, sauces, etc... and you can get a more accurate estimate of what your eating. I'm 42 and have lost 12 lbs. since joining here. Best decision I have made in years. There are many folks here that know way more than I do so hopefully someone can help you out. Motivation starts with you. Be diligent and you will get results.0
