I saw a lot of spiders in Costa Rica. The first was the Golden Orb Spider, believe, and the second is the Bird Eating Spider *gasp*. Not the best pic.

I loved seeing all the spiders in Costa Rica! They were so cool!

Welcome to the spider thread... for all your spider viewing enjoyment.

If you don't like spiders, why did you come in here?? Morbid curiosity? I can work with that! Enjoy

Is it sad that I can identify almost every single one of your tarantulas because I used to have the same ones at one point?

Cobalt Blues are my favorite, but Tiger Rumps were a close second.

Not sad at all. They make our lives richer ❤️

    Fuzzy molting

I think this is pretty cool. If you never seen a spider molting. You go to bed and get up the next morning. You would think you had two spider's. I also liked watching them eat. I haven't own a spider in year's

Not a huge fan of spiders, but I found this guy with a huge circular web that covered half of one of my sliding glass doors. He was about 2 inches long with his legs extended. I'm pretty sure it's an orb weaver, like the spider from Charlotte's Web.

    Wow! That's a biggie
It isn't an orb web because the web seems to be more scalloped. Unless it was still in the process of spinning?
I could try to identify it, but would need to know where you saw her

Fun fact: you can tell the difference between a true spider and a tarantula by their jaws. A true spider's jaws are like pincers that work in opposite directions towards each other, while a tarantula's jaws both point down and impale their prey in a down ward motion
