Number of servings
A lot of people like to weigh the finished recipe and enter its weight (in grams) as the number of servings, then when you weigh your portion at any given meal, you enter the weight of your portion (in grams) as the number of servings you ate.
I prefer to use a smaller number of servings, so that the per-serving data you see when you look at your recipes are more meaningful (when your serving size is 1 gram, pretty much all your nutrient values will be 0, unless your recipe was something like olive oil mixed with bacon grease). So I weigh it, decide what a reasonable number of servings will be, do the division, and put the weight of the serving in the name of the recipe. E.g., say I make a pot of soup and it weighs (net of the pot) 800 g. I'll enter 8 into the serving field in the recipe builder and make the name "Lentil soup, srvg = 100 g".1 -
