Rotating Shifts

Hey Everyone!
Im starting a second job which will require me to work 3rd shift (11p-7a) as well as my full time job which is 8 daytime hours. I wont be working at night everyday. However, I am worried about over eating for the days when I work 16 hours straight. Any suggestions on what to eat and bring on night shift or it doesnt really matter? would my calories start over at midnight?

Your internal clock doesn't work on EST - when to start a new day, for logging purposes, is up to you.
I suggest you look at your schedule as a whole - spread your calories out through the week, or any period that repeats itself in a pattern. Be creative.
Eat and bring food you like that is convenient. General healthy eating guidelines apply.2 -
I agree with having a weekly calorie goal. For example, if your daily goal is 1500 calories, that is 10,500 calories per week. You could eat more of them on your long work days, and less of them on your easier work days.1
