Middle age makeover

Hello... I am looking for ladies of the same age group - the ones fighting that middle age midriff, like me. I was on MFP a few years back and lost 30 lbs - and sadly, I quit logging in and gained it all back. Only myself to blame and only myself that can fix it. I am ready to get back on track and start feeling better about myself and I could use (and give) some encouragement. Starting out slow with the exercise, but at least I am starting.

I am a little more than middle aged at 62, but it is never too late to start and hopefully my story gives you some encouragement. I have been logging on MFP for 10 months now and find it keeps me accountable. I have lost 77 pounds and 15 inches off my waist. I have followed a doctor ordered and medically supervised ketogenic diet, as I was insulin resistant and close to being type 2 diabetic. I found it worked for me, but am not a rabid "this is the best and only diet you should follow" type of person. It is not for everyone and we all need to make our own health decisions. My BMI has gone from obese to healthy and I have approx. 19% body fat. No more insulin resistance and no high blood pressure. Walking is really the only exercise I do. I am now maintaining and plan to keep logging and recording.

Good luck on your journey. I hope you achieve the results you want.
