Do you smile at yourself in the mirror?

I do, always have. When I asked my husband, he looked at me like I was crazy.
Does anyone else smile at themselves in the mirror?

Yes I do! I probably do daily when I brush my teeth and do my makeup.
I haven’t asked my husband, but imagine he doesn’t, haha.1 -

Yea always. And I talk to myself.4

Everyday. A lot. I talk to myself too.
Other people don't?2 -
I don't, and I find it weird if I did. I don't think people who do it are crazy, it just doesn't feel like something I can do naturally without laughing.0

Not yet. Maybe in 15 kg.1

Only to check my teeth and how bad my Bell's palsy is.5

Yes, I just can't help it especially after putting some makeup for events.1

I don't smile. It's weird.1

Never, I avoid mirrors as much as possible. Don't like what I see so why look??

Yes of course, its better than seeing a frown.0

Only if I'm feeling pretty or checking my teeth0
-
Nope. No reason to do so.0

Yes I do! Glad to see I'm not the only one. I thought it was a weird quirk. Not every time, but probably about half the time. Always after I brush my teeth. I talk to myself a lot too.0

Well not to be a downer but I always smile at myself in the mirror but I am not very approachable and I think I have RBF most of the time0

Glad to see I'm not the only one!
I recently moved into an apartment with an entirely mirrored living room wall, and have found myself sharing looks of exasperation, surprise, and excitement with my own reflection when nobody else is home... Or is that too far and I'm simply losing the plot?

Only if my kitty cat is looking in the mirror with me (she does that a lot).2

I try to! 😊1

No. I FEEL that my body is changing, things are happening, I am gaining muscle and endurance, strength and power... but then I look in the mirror and see the same fat guy I've seen for years. Tough to smile at that. But it's changing, right?
And yes, I also am afflicted with RBF.1 -
Smile? No.
Blow myself a kiss? Yes.
Is that weird? It's weird isn't it.1 -
I do smile at myself in the mirror. Not because I am happy with the way my body looks right now, but I smile because I know I am working to a goal.1

Did it this morning, when I was looking at my butt. I used to have what they call noassatall, but it was worse than that - my butt actually went IN on an angle, so yeah.... After all the heavy lifting I've been doing, it's completely changed. It's not a huge butt, but it's actually round and curvy. It gives me hope for my belly. Lots of smiles in the mirror lately. Thank God.0

Smile, grin, wink, growl, make silly faces. I love me.1

It’s a natural developmental marker to look at yourself in the mirror and recognise yourself also to mimic others facial expressions when you look at them .. so completely natural for most people, think how we as adults open our mouths while spoon feeding a baby without knowing we are doing it .
Some people don’t do it and usually it’s down to a neurological disorder or damage or personality disorder.1 -
I'm brain damaged2
