Hi everyone,
I'm Kim from Belgium. Always been chubby, always have been trying to be more lean. When I was younger, I was laughed at a lot for having fat on my body, while other girls in my class where stick thin.
I lost 10 kg 2 years ago with the help of a nutritionist whose idea of losing weight was restriction (In terms of calories I was eating 100-1200 kcal, and some food were forbidden like grapes, cherries, bananas, avocados, seeds, nuts,...), diet version of food and diet microwavable meals.
I'm still struggling to lose the fat (and might be struggling with something approaching an eating disorder, which I realized not long ago and now think about getting professional help). My main struggle is not being able to hit my daily calorie goal, not because I'm restricting, but because I'm just not hungry and when I'm not hungry I tend to not force myself to eat because I've tried to force myself to eat more in the past, only to make me feel so bloated and overfull than I was lying on my bed because of the cramps.
I learned a year ago I was lactose intolerant, which explained a lot of episodes when I'd feel so sick at night (Sweaty, stomach cramps, nauseous,...). Since I stopped dairy (no full stop, I sometimes eat dairy, but for that I take a supplement of lactase, to help me digest lactose), I've felt much better.
